Learn About Women’s History Month

Celebrate the month of womanhood with pride!

In 1980, the National Women’s History alliance convinced the Congress to acknowledge and respect women’s role in history. From then on, in the month of March, we observe and commemorate the contributions of women towards society, academia, workplaces and history in general. From the early ages of history, women were under-appreciated, not given basic rights and not seen as an equal in the eyes of society. Women often endured many societal struggles and misogynistic acts whenever they tried to do something good for themselves. But as they proved themselves in their field of expertise, society had no way but to applaud their accomplishments. And now, we celebrate thirty days observing different incredible women’s contributions towards civilization, which have made our lives significantly better.

Each year, Women’s History Month is celebrated differently in different parts of the country. This year’s theme is “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.” There are so many brave women on the front lines working ceaselessly during these tough times. Nurses and doctors have to spend hours on end tending to patients and dealing with emergency situations. So far, they have handled everything to perfection. Also, there were many different women from different cultures and countries in history who contributed to advancements in medicine. Because of their tireless efforts, medical science has been through major breakthroughs over the years. This year, through public campaigns and seminars, we will commemorate the efforts, contributions and accomplishments of women in history and in present times.
