Border Type
A Merrow border is when the thread wraps around the edge of the patch and forms what can be compared to piping. Merrow border can only be used on patches with a standard shape such as a square, triangle, rectangle, circle, etc.
A Hot Cut border has the thread up the very edge of the patch and then the patch is cut using a hot knife. The resulting edge forms a very clean and crisp patch. Hot cut border is recommended for custom iron on patches with embroidery or those patches that are cut to shape around the design.
