February is Black History Month. We celebrate the grand achievements made by the African-American community throughout American history. This ranges from civil rights activists to artists, legislators, and inventors. Everyone can remember & honor Black heroes in various ways. Here are some ways to commemorate Black history — not just this month, but all year — from supporting Black-owned companies to donating to organizations and watching educational documentaries.

CELEBRATE – AS A WHOLE!

Having people from various backgrounds work for you gives you a broad range of expertise and insight, which helps you make better decisions and makes your firm more appealing to potential consumers, clients, and partners.

We Stand Together Yard SignsYour Black History Month event should be exactly that: a celebration. Make it a company-wide initiative in which everyone can participate in a way that makes them feel good. Inviting fascinating speakers, such as artists, educators, or civil rights activists, is a good idea. Decorate your business and home with stunning custom yard signs to keep people informed at all times. You can customize them into incredibly informative signs as well. These yard signs will be equally effective in raising awareness as the event progresses.

With unity comes more achievements. So, while you organize for people to learn, know, and educate about black history – why not hand them some matching goodies as a reward? Our collection of custom hoodies and face masks will be the perfect gesture for your event this year! What a great way to remind people of the Black community’s numerous positive accomplishments throughout history! Wear personalized Black Lives Matter Face Masks and Hoodies to show your support, promote awareness, and make a difference. Their artistic design is the ideal mix of fashion and activism. No matter what, we all have a responsibility to stand up for what we believe.

KEEP ON EDUCATING THE PEOPLE!

More and more institutions are offering digital programming. For example, The Natural Museum of African American History and Culture, for example, includes a digital “searchable museum.” Confetti’s Black History Month collection includes engaging and educational activities that your employees may do from home.

Literature is a time-honored tool for learning about different cultures. Giving your staff books by Black writers can help them celebrate and learn about Black history. Everyone appreciates appraisal for their achievements. Every time an employee finishes reading the book, you can reward them with custom full-color stickers! Black History Month is a terrific opportunity to recognize individual Black employees’ accomplishments. Black History Month custom goodies will uniquely inspire kids and adults. These unique items, which range from custom hoodies and face masks to custom tumblers, make excellent appreciation presents and freebies for members of your community, organization, or congregation. Our custom tumblers will be a refreshing addition to any Black History Month event, including original designs and inspirational slogans that draw attention to your Black History Month message.

ALWAYS REMEMBER!

Of course, February is only one of the twelve months – the shortest. Some of the suggestions are here – and many other wonderful ones that haven’t – should be implemented all year to celebrate the spirit of Black History Month. Try to plan meaningful activities year-round that can educate and inspire, strengthening bonds between your team members. Remember to make them as exciting and engaging as possible. Therefore, your African American team members in the planning, of course.

Let Black History Month catalyze recognizing, appreciating, and supporting African Americans throughout the year, just as the Black struggle for justice and equality prompted efforts to bring justice and equality to all people.
